Get Moat: coming soon to the App Store for iPhone.
A game that teaches value investing the way Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger describe it. You read a real company’s annual report, run a checklist, and decide what one share is worth. Then you see the price, decide what to do, and real history plays out.
So you judge the business, not the chart. The price and the date stay hidden until you commit a value. Seeing the price first pulls your number towards it.
Each holding runs on its own clock, a few trading days for every real day. When you come back, it catches up to exactly where it should be. Notifications tell you when something happens, like an order filling or a new annual report.
Settings, then Start a new run. This clears your calls, holdings and progress on this iPhone. It can’t be undone.
Company financials come from each company’s own annual reports (10-K filings) at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Berkshire’s moves come from its quarterly 13F filings. Prices are historical daily closes, adjusted for splits.
No. Moat is an educational game using historical data. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Moat is not affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway or Warren Buffett.
Email us the company and the line. We check every report against the filing and fix what we find.
The coach runs on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence, so nothing you ask leaves your device. It needs an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence, with it turned on in Settings, and iOS 26 or later.
Unlimited companies, Buffett’s calls, an unlimited coach, the full course and practice gym, your report card and shareholder letter, the punch card, shiny cards and time control. The core game stays free.
If a free trial is offered on your plan, you won’t be charged until it ends. Cancel at least a day before it ends and you won’t be charged at all.
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Moat. Apple handles all billing; we never see your payment details.
In Moat, open Settings and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you bought with. Still stuck? Email us with that Apple ID email.

Yes. There’s no account, and everything you do in Moat stays on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
